Scrabble for Cheaters is a Scrabble tournament with a dishonest twist for an honest cause.
Teams of two compete in a fierce Scrabbletournament in which the traditional use of brain power is mixed with the alluring use of officially-sanctioned cheats. The more money a team fundraises for 826CHI's student programming before the tournament date, the more that team can cheat during the match.
>>>PLUS: Official "Losers Lounge" at Emporium Arcade Bar:
As teams are eliminated, they will be shooed across the street where they can, in the comfort of our Losers Lounge, soak themselves in craft beer and shout at the Miss Pac-man screen. A live simulcast of the event will be splayed upon Emporium's largest screen. The championship round will also be held onstage at Emporium, as the final teams battle for Scrabble Supremacy.
This tournament is open to any and all players willing to lay their tiles on the line. We will, however, reserve competition spots for the 32 top-fundraising duos.
Scrabble-adium/826CHI & The Boring Store at 1331 N Milwaukee Ave.
The "Losers Lounge" will be at Emporium Arcade Bar, just across the street from 826CHI.

For the children. For prizes so great, Webster's adjectives fail to encapsulate their glory. For the opportunity to cheat without negative repercussion. For a full calendar year's worth of bragging rights as Chicago's Cheating Champ.

We'll get right back to you with registration payment instructions.
We only have space for the 32 top-fundraising duos, so sign up now and fundraise 'til you drop!
Email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll walk you through the rest! Cost is $30 per team.
As soon as teams have signed up, they should direct anyone and everyone HERE to pledge their support for the team(s) of their choosing. Monetary donations increase teams' opportunity to buy cheats during the tournament and annihilate competition, regardless of team members' spelling ability/2-letter word knowledge.
