Molly Arbogast, MSW, LSW, CSWM (she/her), is a nonprofit executive, social worker, and advocate with more than a decade of experience leading mission-driven organizations focused on education, community impact, and social change. As Executive Director of 826CHI, she brings a deep commitment to youth empowerment, storytelling, and creating opportunities for young people to find and share their voices. Prior to joining 826CHI, Molly served as Executive Director for multiple chapters of the National Association of Social Workers, where she led strategic planning, fundraising, advocacy, board development, and professional education initiatives serving thousands of social workers across several states. Her career has also included leadership roles with Carnegie Hall in West Virginia and the Dublin Food Pantry in Ohio, where she expanded community partnerships, strengthened fundraising efforts, and increased organizational impact. Molly earned her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, along with a post-master's certificate in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Illinois State University and is currently pursuing her MBA through the University of Illinois Gies College of Business. Originally from Central Illinois and a proud Loyola alum, Molly is thrilled to return home to Chicago to lead 826CHI. She believes every young person deserves to feel seen, heard, and empowered, and is passionate about helping students discover the confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging that emerge through writing and storytelling. She is honored to work alongside 826CHI's staff, board, volunteers, educators, and community partners to help amplify the voices of Chicago's young people and advance the organization's next chapter.
