OBJECTIVE: To empower every student in Chicago to become a published author.

Attention, agents of change! 826CHI is seeking highly qualified individuals for a mission of the utmost importance: to join our Board of Directors or Associate Board.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves high-level strategy, deep-cover community engagement, and the thrill of helping young operatives become published authors. We're looking for agents with a diverse skill set to help us activate the hearts and minds of Chicago's aspiring student authors, one story or poem at a time.

OPERATIVE QUALIFICATIONS:

Our ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• The ability to blend seamlessly into board meetings and committee work for a few hours each month, providing invaluable strategic guidance without raising suspicion.
• A knack for procuring financial resources through a combination of personal contributions, a network of well-placed assets and creative fundraising concepts. This financial firepower will help ensure we can fulfill our mission.  
• An unwavering dedication to our core objective: to deliver high-quality writing and publishing programs to Chicago's youngest secret agents. making every Chicago student a published author. Your passion is the most advanced gadget.
